Devolution and Divergence: Health and Social Care in the UK
LSM Consultancy event managed the Devolution and Divergence Conference which examined the impact of devolution on health and social care policy and practice.
LSM Consultancy were responsible for all aspects of the event from the conference website design, invitation and response handling, call for abstracts, delegate management, financial administration, venue and catering management.
Over the decade since the introduction of devolution in the UK, the design, delivery and priorities for health and social care in the four countries of the Union are seemingly becoming increasingly divergent. Tennant Support Programme – Technium Network
LSM Consultancy managed communications, event management and the professional support programme for the Technium Network.
LSM Consultancy were responsible for all Wales communications via the regular newsletter which updated members on industry news, best practice and upcoming innovation and technology events across the UK. We facilitated professional support for Technium members through the management of a group of consultants, and managed the Associate Membership Programme.

New Technologies in Healthcare - Exhibition & Conference
LSM Consultancy managed the design and delivery of New Technologies in Healthcare, the second in a series of conferences aimed at profiling the application of new technologies.
LSM Consultancy were responsible for all aspects of the event planning and delivery including; programme design and speaker selection, website design, event marketing, invitation and response handling, sponsorship, audio visual provision and logistics, networking and brokerage services, PR, exhibitor and delegate management, design and production of staging and provision of event literature.
The one day event highlighted key advances and practical applications of Radio frequency identification (RFID) and Micro and nanotechnology (MNT).
Attended by over 150 delegates the event demonstrated the strength of the medical device sector in Wales, advances in new technology and opportunities for suppliers and healthcare professionals. The exhibition and market place housed over 25 exhibitors and over 170 1-2-1 meetings were held throughout the day via the brokerage service.

Launch of DECIPHer Public Health Research Centres of Excellence
LSM Consultancy worked with Cardiff University to promote and manage the launch of the DECIPHer research centre on the 13th May 2009 at the National Museum, Cardiff. The high profile launch comprised of a one day seminar programme and poster exhibition.

The Centre for the Development and Evaluation of Complex Interventions for Public Health Improvement (DECIPHer) is one of five new UKCRC Public Health Research Centres of Excellence. DECIPHer brings together leading experts from a range of disciplines to tackle public health issues such as diet and nutrition, physical activity; and alcohol, tobacco and drugs, with a particular focus on developing and evaluating multi-level interventions that will have an impact on the health and well-being of children and young people.

Technium - Professional Business Support Facilitation
LSM consultancy was contracted to manage the Technium Professional Service Provider programme involving the account management of a range professional firms to provide advice and support for up to 200 emerging technology companies across Wales. The dedicated Project Manager developed new initiatives to promote the programme which raised the awareness of the professional advice available including a revamp of the regular newsletter, the production of targeted informative literature, and bespoke information points in Technium centre’s across Wales. By developing strong relationships with the technology companies we identified where support was required and delivered a tailored programme of support via breakfast events, drop in clinics and one-to-one meetings.

The Future of Capturing Data Conference
30th October 2007, Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
LSM Consultancy organised the First National conference and exhibition on Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC)
A full event management service was delivered including programme development, invitation and response handling event promotion, exhibitor and speaker liaison, stage set design and build plus design and production of event literature
Attracting 150 delegates the conference and exhibition brought together Welsh businesses working in the fields of RFID and AIDC. The conference market place provided Welsh suppliers a unique opportunity to network and gain access to key decision makers in the healthcare sector. In addition, the interactive plenary introduced the range of technologies available and the application of such technologies in the real world. Featured technology included; Barcodes, Smart Media and Smart cards biometrics.
